২০০০ সাল এর পরবর্তী কিছু সময় পর্যন্ত গ্রামে, গঞ্জে, মফস্বলে মুসলমানির বহুল প্রচলিত ও জনপ্রিয় যে মাধ্যম ছিল তা হলো হাজং বা গোটকার মাধ্যমে মুসলমানি। সেই সময় মুসলমানির সময় অনেক আয়োজন করা হতো। বাড়িতে চলতো ধুন্ধুমার খাওয়ার আয়োজন। আত্নীয়স্বজন ও আশেপাশের প্রতিবেশীদের দাওয়াত করে খাওয়ানো হতো। সময়ের সাথে সাথে অবশ্য এখন মুসলমানির সেই আমেজ অবশ্য অনেকটাই কমে গেছে।
হাজং বা গুটকার মুসলমানি পদ্ধতি ছিলো কিছুটা সনাতন পদ্ধতিতে। তারা রোগীকে অজ্ঞান করতো না এর ফলে অনেক বাচ্চাই কিঞ্চিৎ ব্যথা অনুভব করতো এবং ভয়ে চিৎকার করতো। অনেক পুরাতন হাজং মুসলমানির জন্য বাঁশের কঞ্চি ও ব্যবহার করতো যা অনেক ধারালো থাকতো। তারা মুসলমানির পর নরম পাতলা সুতি কাপড় দিয়ে ঘা শুকানোর জন্য পাউডার দিয়ে পেঁচিয়ে দিতো।
এই মুসলমানির পরে বাচ্চাদের প্রথম কিছুদিন প্রস্রাবের সমস্যা হতো। প্রস্রাবের সময় ব্যথা অনুভব হওয়া, জ্বালাপোড়া হওয়া ছিল স্বাভাবিক ঘটনা। আর এই পদ্ধতিতে বাচ্চাদের ঘ শুকানোর জন্য নিয়মিত নেবানল জাতীয় পাউডার ব্যবহার ও ব্যথা নাশক ঔষধ সেবন করতে হতো। সব ঠিক ঠাক থাকলে ১৪- ২১ দিনের মধ্যে ঘ শুকিয়ে লিঙ্গ স্বাভাবিক অবস্থায় ফায়ার আসতো। এসময় তাদের খাবারেও কিছুটা সতর্কতা অবলম্বন করতে হতো কারণ যাদের এলার্জি জাতীয় সমস্যা থাকতো তাদের ঘ শুকাতে বেশি সময় লাগত বা ফুলে যেত।
এই পদ্ধতিতে বেশিরভাগ সময় সফল ভাবে মুসলমানি সম্পন্ন হলেও অনেক অনভিজ্ঞ হাজংয়ের অসতর্কতার জন্য অনেকে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত ও হয়েছেন। কারো চামড়া বেশি কাটা হয়ে যেত বা কারো অনেক কম যা মুসলমানির উদ্যেশ্য পুরোপুরি ভাবে সফল করতো না। ফলে পরবর্তী সময়ে তাদের পুনরায় মুসলমানির প্রয়োজন হতো।

এই পদ্ধতিতে মুসলমানিতে সচেতন পিতামাতা তখন ভরসা করতে পারতো। তাছাড়া যেসব বাচ্চা ভয় পেট বেশি বা বাবামা ও শঙ্কায় থাকতো তারা নিরাপদ থাকার জন্য ডাক্তার এর কাছে গিয়ে সাধারণ সার্জারির মাধ্যমে লিঙ্গের বারোটি অংশ কেটে মুসলমানি সম্পন্ন করতো। এই পদ্ধতি সাধারণ সার্জারি বা অপারেশন এর মতোই। বাচ্চাদের কে এনেস্থেসিয়া বা অজ্ঞান করার ইনজেকশন দিয়ে তার কোমর থেকে নিচের অংশ অবশ করে দেওয়া হতো। এর ফলে বাচ্চা অপারেশন করা নিজের চোখে দেখলেও কোন ব্যাথা অনুভব করতো না। ডাক্তাররা সমস্ত আধুনিক ও ধারালো সার্জারির যন্ত্রপাতি ব্যবহার করে বিধায় এই পদ্ধতি অনেকটাই নিরাপদ ও ঝুঁকিমুক্ত।

সলমান এবং মুসলমানি শব্দ ২ টি খুবই পারস্পরিক সম্পর্কিত শব্দ। সাধারণভাবে বুঝা যায় মুসলমান যারা তাদেরকেই মুসলমানি করতে হয়। ইবরাহীম (আ:) এর শরীয়ত থেকে ১০ টি সুন্নত আমাদের শেষ নবী হযরত মুহাম্মদ (সা:) এর শরীয়ত বা দ্বীন ইসলামে প্রবেশ করেছে এর মধ্যে একটি হলো মুসলমানি। মুসলমানদের জন্য মুসলমানি হচ্ছে শেয়ারে ইসলাম বা ইসলামের নিদর্শন। অর্থাৎ প্রত্যেক মুসলমানের জন্য মুসলমানি আবশ্যিক। যারা জন্মগতভাবে মুসলমান তাদের জন্মের পরেই অথবা শিশু কিশোর থাকা অবস্থায় ই মুসলমানি করে ফেলতে হয়। এছাড়াও যারা জীবনের যে কোন বয়সে অন্য ধর্ম থেকে ইসলাম ধর্মে দাখিল হয় তাদের জন্যও মুসলমানি অপরিহার্য। ইবনে শিহাব যুহরী রাহ. বলেন, কোন ব্যক্তি যখন ইসলাম ধর্ম গ্রহন করত তখন সে বড় হলেও তাকে খৎনা করার আদেশ করা হত। (আলআদাবুল মুফরাদ, হাদীস: ১২৫২)
মুসলমানদের জাতির পিতা হযরত ইবরাহীম (আ:) এর থেকে সুন্নাতে খতনা বা মুসলমানির শুরু এবং তার পরবর্তী সকল নবী রাসূল নিজেরা মুসলমানি করেছেন এবং তাদের অনুসারীদেরকে মুসলমানির নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন।
এছাড়াও নানা ধরণের রোগ থেকে বাঁচতে এবং সুস্থ স্বাভাবিক জীবন যাপনের জন্য মুসলমানি বা খৎনা করানো হয়ে থাকে। হাজার হাজার বছর ধরে ইসলামে মুসলমানির বিধান চালু থাকলেও বর্তমানে আধুনিক চিকিৎসা বিজ্ঞান দ্বারাও মুসলমানির অনেক উপকারিতা প্রমাণিত হয়েছে।
আশা করি মুসললমানি কেন করা হয় তা আপনারা বুঝেছেন। এবার মুসলমানির উপকারিতা নিয়ে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করবো
মুসলমানির উপকারিতা:
খতনা হল পুরুষের চামড়া অপসারণের একটি অস্ত্রোপচার পদ্ধতি, যা সাধারণত শৈশবকালে করা হয়। ধর্মীয় কারণেই মুসলমান এবং খ্রিস্টান উভয়ের শিশুদের খৎনা করা হয় কারণ খতনা তাদের ধর্মের ইতিহাসের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অংশ। তবে ফাইমোসিসের মতো কিছু রোগের জন্যও এই অস্ত্রোপচারের প্রয়োজন হতে পারে যা মূত্রনালীর চারপাশে ফুলে যাওয়ার কারণে প্রস্রাব করার সময় ব্যথা সৃষ্টি করে।
মুসলমানি প্রায়ই বিভিন্ন পরিস্থিতিতে করা হয় যেমন একটি শিশুর আগাম চামড়া যখন তার প্যান্টের সাথে আটকে যায় এবং ফুলে যায়, বা যদি কোন শিশুর বারবার মূত্রনালীর সংক্রমণ হয়। যদি এটি বারবার হয় তবে এটি কিডনি বিকল করে দিতে পারে এবং এমনকি মৃত্যু পর্যন্ত হতে পারে। বিভিন্ন সমস্যার জন্য অনেক সময় লিঙ্গের মাথার দিকের চামড়া উল্টে যায়। আর এভাবে উল্টে গেলে চামড়া টাইট হয়ে আটকে যায়। যার ফলে চামড়া আর নাড়াচাড়া করানো যায় না এবং সামনের দিকে বা পিছনের দিকে নেওয়া যায় না। এর ফলে লিঙ্গ ফুলে যায় এবং স্বাভাবিক রক্ত চলাচল বন্ধ হয়ে যায়। এমন সমস্যা দেখা দিলে তৎক্ষণাৎ মুসলমানি করানো জরুরি হয়ে যায়।
খৎনার অনেক উপকারিতা রয়েছে, যার মধ্যে অন্যতম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হচ্ছে এটি লিঙ্গ ক্যান্সার প্রতিরোধ করতে পারে! গবেষণায় দেখা গেছে যে শুধুমাত্র খতনা মুসলিম এবং খ্রিস্টান উভয়ের মধ্যে লিঙ্গ ক্যান্সার সৃষ্টি করে না। এর কারণ হল পুরুষের পুরুষাঙ্গের মাথায় সাদা পদার্থের সৃষ্টি হয় যা স্মেগমা নামে পরিচিত যা ক্যান্সার সৃষ্টি করে।
- আপনার প্রিয় সন্তানের বয়স যদি তিন বছরের উপরে হয়ে থাকে তাহলে মুসলমানি করার পূর্বে BT.CT. CBC ব্লাড টেস্ট করতে হবে এবংInj. T.Tvax I/M ইনজেকশন দিতে হবে।
- যদি তিন বছরের নিচে হয় তাহলে শুধু BT.CT.CBC blood test করতে হবে।
- আপনার বয়স যদি ত্রিশ বছরের উপরে হয়ে থাকে তাহলে BT.CT CBC. Blood suger ( F / R ) . ECG. CXR-PAV করতে হবে এবংinj. T.Tvax I/M দিতে হবে।
